Christmas Decorations

I am joining Katie over at NFP&Me for a Christmas decoration link up.

Ok before I show you my pictures you have to remember a few things.

1.I am still in college

2.We only have three weeks between thanksgiving and Christmas break including a week of zombie-like- sleep-deprived-pull-your-hair-out-overly-caffeinated-finals.

3.I have a college budget (meaning $0) to spend on Christmas decorations and thus pretty much only use unused decorations from my mom's Christmas boxes.

If you want to get an idea of where these things are in my house you can look at my "House Tour" post.

Christmas decorations by the numbers

2 Christmas Trees
3 Nativity Scenes
3 Christmas Pajamas
4 Christmas Towels
6 Christmas Mugs
9 Christmas Socks

And now the pictures

The live tree my mom sent me from the Boy Scout wreath sale and nativity scene #1.

The fake tree my mom decorated for me my freshman year of college and nativity scene #2. I actually have two complete sets of this nativity scene.

Nativity scene #3 on the kitchen table with the ponsitta plant my roommate bought and the coffee maker.

The candle on the coffee table updated from the fall.

The coffee mugs. That tall snow flake one is my favorite!

If you are from Katie's blog welcome and I hope you will look around and become a follower.

Live joy.

  1. Very nice! Next year, work on getting an advent wreath and prayer book so you can light your advent wreath and say prayers every night. My two sons who go to University of Maryland have off almost all of January.

  2. Very pretty. Reminds me of Christmas when I was in college. I remember having a tiny tree in my dorm room and decorating it with earrings!

  3. Oh girl, I'm so with you on the college budget. Everything of ours came from a thrift store or my mom.

I love the real tree! Oh and you mugs, festive and necessary in this final ridden season. :)

    Thanks for linking up!
