{pretty, happy, funny, real}

~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~

round button chicken

Gift from a family friend. Love it!

This color combo keeps me o so happy. I am telling you I can't get away from the shades of grey and brown.

When my dogs go to the vet they have to take a sedative before they go because otherwise they get entirely too worked up and the visit isn't very effective. It has this hilarious hilariously awful side effect of dropey eyes for Sunny. This picture is sedative Sunny fresh from a bath with a overwhelming stench faint smell of wet dog. If that didn't make you laugh I don't know what does.

I have been spending a whole lot of time on the couch, hot drink in hand reading, on the internet, or watching TV. That is what break is for right? And among that I have been reading Jesus of Nazareth which is continuing to blow my socks away. I know I have been talking about it for while now but what can I say I am a slow reader. It is all part of my "13 books in 13" gig that you can read about by clicking on the above brand spank'n new navigation bar. I know I am getting fancy around here.

  1. You mean the book by the Holy Father? I just finished the Infancy narratives - these books are wonderful.
    Is that first photo a bracelet? Lovely. And, neutrals are best, I agree. A friend gave me a lovely pale whitish and grayish scarf - it was just what I needed.
    Happy New Year!

  2. The Chief got me that book for my Kindle for my stocking present, and I am looking forward to reading it. Thanks for joining!
