Does your heart ever get tired of the seeking. Seeking for the man The Lord wants you to marry. As a lady you have hope that this time it will work out with him and are left disappointed when it doesn't....again. You heart can get tired. Flirting can be like a race, leaves you high with endorphins but also exhausted.
That doesn't mean you heart can't be at peace and be tired. We seek for the one The Lord wants for us and our hearts are tired but also trusting that when it is the one The Lord wants for us, it will work. It is hard for me to put this out on the internet but I hope that someone else who has a tired heart and feels alone will get encouragement.
On this feast of the Scred Heart of Jesus, what better of a day to place our weary, burdened tired heart in Our Lord's Sacred Heart.
I have been contemplating this very thing. One tired heart. Only thing we can do is support each other in prayer.
ReplyDeleteYES! Great post! Sometimes I get tired of the seeking and I do take a break but it's this never ending thing always in the back of my mind that you're still seeking for the answers.
ReplyDeleteYep... I am with you, my friend. It's not a tired that you want to give up... no, it's like one of those really amazing runs you have that you can't help but smile about and feel awesome, yet at this moment you are exhausted. All the while knowing that tomorrow, you will somehow have enough energy, motivation, peace and grace to keep going.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Katie... prayer. It's what will help us get our shoes on. Step out the door. And eventually keep running.
Yup, it's that "when is this gonna get easier" that is a perpetual question. There are always bumps in the road and hurdles to jump, and God always gives us the push and the grace to keep going. Being in a relationship (which I am) has a lot of discernment and lately my heart has had a lot of questions. I wish I just KNEW NOW: Is this the right one? How can we communicate better? Are our individual needs being met? Are we discerning fully? The Sacraments, good friends, and continued prayer will help us get to the finish line ;-) God doesn't give us what we can't handle. He doesn't expect us to journey on our own. Mother Teresa once said, "God doesn't give us what we can't handle - I just wish He didn't trust me so much." Praying for you that you find the right one soon!
